About

Vivien Holliday has worked in a variety of art mediums, specialising in life drawing, painting and sculpture. Her aim has always been to capture fluid movement in her work.

Vivien studied at Chelsea Art College in the vibrant 1960’s in fabric design, painting and sculpture and then travelled to America to the Art Institute of Chicago where, amongst the atmosphere of Jazz and Blues cafes, she taught and studied.

Vivien moved to Dublin, Ireland and contributed to the Young Irish Artist Exhibition. Following a gap in her creative work, she moved to Bristol and taught art at the Bristol Steiner School. There, she continued her work in sculpture and joined the Bristol Women’s Workshop creating a series of works in plaster. She also exhibited in Caerphilly, South Wales and was a member of the Welsh Sculpture Society

Currently, Vivien lives in Eire and exhibits drawing and painting in the Arts Zone in Athlone and The Longacre Gallery in Mullingar.
